- Living Blues Magazine
Living Blues is America's oldest and most authoritative blues magazine. Founded in Chicago in 1970, Living Blues has set the standard for blues journalism around the world. From its first issue, which featured blues legend Howlin’ Wolf on the cover, Living Blues has provided fans with insightful, in-depth stories on such legendary blues artists as Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Koko Taylor, and John Lee Hooker. In addition, Living Blues has focused on true creative originals like Otha Turner, Chris Thomas King, and Super Chikan, artists often overlooked by other blues press. We also feature current Blues News, "Breaking Out" articles on up and coming artists, blues radio charts and the most extensive CD and DVD review section in the industry. Published bimonthly, Living Blues is renowned for its detailed feature stories and exceptional photography. Our regular contributors include the absolute best in blues journalism, including Jim O’Neal, (who co-founded Living Blues in 1970), Barry Lee Pearson, John Brisbin, David Whiteis, Jim DeKoster, and Roger Wood. We also publish the Living Blues Directory, an annual industry guide of blues clubs, radio stations, societies, festivals, artists and agents – the only such source book for the industry. As blues music moves into its second century, Living Blues continues to discover new talent, re-examine old masters and explore the roots of America ’s most important gift to the music of the world: the Blues. - Daddy Mojo Custom Cigar-box Guitars

- JUKE JOINT FESTIVAL
Spring is just around the corner, and that means the world’s one and only Juke Joint Festival will be here before you know it. The date: Saturday, April 14, 2007. The place: Clarksdale, Mississippi.
What is the Juke Joint Festival? It’s a positive event for everyone in Clarksdale. It’s good for families, businesses, musicians and tourists alike. The festival itself combines an international “blues festival” with a community-minded “small-town fair,” creating a strong and memorable event like no other in the universe. It’s organized by the Clarksdale Downtown Development Association (CDDA) and staffed by enthusiastic volunteers. This “half small-town fair, half blues festival” does more than simply entertain attendees. It aims to educate and enlighten native Deltans and blues tourists alike through a series of performances, exhibits, and presentations involving music, art, storytelling, film, and children’s events. The event mixes visitors with locals and showcases the economic power of cultural tourism, turning average Deltans into ambassadors for the region.
Speaking of economics, last year’s festival was our most successful yet with full hotels, doubled attendance and expanded press coverage. The Juke Joint Festival makes every effort to keep vendors, talent and suppliers as local as possible. A family-friendly event also provides a bus service at night to discourage drinking and driving between music venues. For more information and pictures from last year’s inaugural event, log on to www.jukejointfestival.com.

- The Eric Hughes Band Perhaps you desire an amplified, up-tempo, electric four-piece Blues band that can rouse a crowd and stir up a large room. You may, however, simply need a solo/acoustic Delta and Country Blues player in a more pure and down-home flavor. Eric Hughes delivers the goods in either setting, playing vintage Blues favorites as well as his own award-winning original Blues songs. Eric Hughes has maintained a steadily growing Blues career in Beale Street's best nightclubs for the past five years, as well as prominent music festivals throughout the South. - "Orry Kraw"
- The history of Orry Kraw by Todd Bailey.
The band was originally formed in 1986 by Todd Bailey, Willie Elliott, Stevie Hurt and Lonnie Knowles. We named the band after a man that live in Browns, Il. He was quite a character and we thought he was pretty cool, so we modified the spelling and we became "Orry Kraw". We played together until 1991 when other obligations and interests seemed to become more important and we just gradually drifted apart. For a decade the band remained only a memory in my mind. In 2001 I contacted Willie to see if he was interested in getting together to play just for fun. To my surprise, he agreed. It did not take long before we realized how much we still wanted to play. So we reformed Orry Kraw and we have been playing everywhere since 2003.
The band members are now: Todd Bailey on bass guitar/vocals, Willie Elliott on drums/vocals, Jake Martin on guitar/vocals, and Willie Williams on vocals.
We play a wide variety of rock and roll both new and old.
Attend any show for a chance to buy a copy of our new, original CD, titled "Work With Me." Also get a chance to win one if you can answer one of the trivia questions Todd always asks at break time. Here is a hint for you, know your John Wayne and James Bond trivia.
We also offer fully digital recording at the "Showtime Studio" in Browns, Il. Come and record your band. Very flexible hours. Contact Todd at 618-446-5234 for a recording appointment or to book the band. - The Blues Foundation

Winner of the MCBS Bluesey Award for Best Other Blues Instrumentalist of the Year. Also nominated for Acoustic Blues Act of the Year, and "Acoustic Alley Blues" for Blues CD of the Year.
Downhome acoustic folk blues. LJK was born and raised in the Nashville, TN area. In the late '70's, solo artists were a dime a dozen in Nashville. So LJK packed up his powder blue Vega and moved to the Daytona Beach area of Florida, playing happy hours and opening for beach bands. Deciding that a steady paycheck would be a good way of life, he entered the radio scene and DJ'd morning drive times in Greenville, KY and Winchester, VA. Realizing that he liked Tennessee better than the nomadic life of radio, he landed back in Nashville.
Back in his hometown, he hooked up with a couple of bands, playing drums for The Color Flag and Horse Of A Different Color. But it was the blues that was in him. Since that time, playing at The Arkansas Blues & Heritage Festival (formerly the King Biscuit Blues Festival) in Helena, AR, The Ground Zero Blues Club and the Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale, MS, along with King's Palace on Beale Street in Memphis, The Great Atlanta Blues & Music Festival, The Slippery Noodle Inn in Indianapolis and the Blues Stage at The Beanblossom Blues Festival in Beanblossom, IN, and sharing the stage with Americana artists Annie Mosher and Cheley Tackett, blues artists Blue Mother Tupelo, Patio Daddio of Delicious Blues Stew, Jimbo Mathus, Wichita's Moreland & Arbuckle, Indianapolis based The D-Moans, The Blues Attic Ramblers and "The Southpaw from Arkansas", guitarist Michael Holloway, Little Johnny is quickly making a name for himself in the Southeast blues scene. - Patty Harper & Faultline
